As proud Windsorites, we of course have season tickets to our local OHL team The Windsor Spitfires. We gathered with family & friends last night in the Molson Hockey House party suite to watch the Spits take on the Guelph Storm. It was also the annual Mickey Renaud tribute game, where they honour the captain who fell of an undiagnosed heart condition 9 years ago. The ceremony was emotional, with the crowd showing their support with a standing ovation and many prolonged applause.
It was very cool to have our friend Steve Bell aka "Beller". Steve is a well-known sportscaster who has been with AM800 CKLW for 37 years! It was wonderful to see his lovely wife Lori, and to hear his first-hand take on the game.
During the second period the in-house host came up to our suite to do a spot on the jumbotron with Team Goran and Steve Bell. A lot of other friends saw us on the jumbotron and came up to say hello or messaged me. The Spits were down 1-0, but coming into the third period the came back scoring 3 goals to a final score of 3-1! We always love watching our boys play, but of course we love to see them win!
We are really trying to take more pictures in the community and when we are out and about. Usually Danielle and I get distracted with hosting and ultimately regret not taking enough pictures. I dare say this is the first we succeeded in taking a lot of photos, so hopefully we can keep that up in the future. We love documenting the special times we have with family, friends & clients.
