Old Sandwich Town, on the west side of Windsor, is located along the Detroit river. Est. in 1797, it's considered one of the oldest, most historically significant settlements in Ontario. It's home to some of the most historically important buildings, including Mackenzie Hall & the Duff-Baby Mansion. The annual "Olde Sandwich Towne Festival" has been celebrated for nearly 20 years! It celebrates the historical richness of the area with reenactments of the Underground Railroad & includes a parade.
