While Lakeshore is mostly a suburban town, there are two distinct areas where you'll find Lakeshore homes for sale. A series of single-family homes in peaceful, green neighbourhoods towards the lake make up the majority of the Lakeshore real estate market. However, a large portion of Lakeshore is farm land, which means there are also a number of spacious homes on massive rural properties for those looking for even more room.
Lakeshore homes for sale in subdivision neighbourhoods near the lake consist of charming cottage-style bungalows and a variety of other Traditional architectural styles. These homes generally have either brick or clapboard exteriors and are situated on lush front yards with driveways, leaving plenty of space for kids to play on their quiet, residential streets. Since Lakeshore is a growing community with plenty of space, an abundance of new construction homes are also available. Additional homes in new subdivisions will likely hit the market in the coming months as well, so keep checking in with Team Goran for the latest listings. Of course, with a name like Lakeshore, you can also expect a small selection of gorgeous waterfront homes with dazzling views at the higher end of the market.
Further south is where the homes expand and you'll find more ranch-style houses. Since many of these homes come on properties that are several acres in size, they also have the luxury of having multiple outbuildings to be used for storage or workshops. One interesting aspect of Lakeshore's rural communities is that several windmills are situated in the fields, creating a unique atmosphere as you drive through the area.
The most obvious pleasantry for Lakeshore residents is clearly the beaches. Lakeview Park West Beach is the main public beach in town, with plenty of soft sand, picnic tables, outdoor barbecue areas, volleyball courts, showers, and public washrooms. For those wanting a bit of shade, many of the picnic tables are located under tall trees in the grassy area of the park. Overall, it's a wonderful area for the entire family!
Tremblay Beach Conservation Area is a small, peaceful place to go for a walk among nature. With trails that run along the lake and wind through tall trees and grassy fields, this is a great place to bring the dog and look out over the calm water away from the crowds at Lakeview Park West Beach. You might even spot deer frolicking in the bushes during your walk!
Boating enthusiasts will be happy to know there are several marinas in town, most notably the Belle River Marina right near Lakeview Park West Beach.
Most shopping amenities are spread out across the north part of town and include several restaurants, supermarkets, banks, and home improvement stores. Residents also have easy access to several highways to take them to neighbouring Tecumseh or Windsor (20-to-30-minute drive).
Several schools are dispersed fairly evenly throughout the town, meaning all Lakeshore homes for sale are in reasonably close proximity to a place for your child to get a good education. Since Lakeshore has decent-sized Francophone population, you'll also notice several French language schools in the area.
